I'm moving right along with my health and fitness goals. I'm 7 pounds down, one pant size down, I have become so energized, sleeping soundly, and I can definitely see a difference when I look in the mirror.
Has anyone else been focusing on health and fitness? I'd love to know how you are coming along! If you haven't been focusing on health and fitness, what are you waiting for? Is there really anything more important?

Good for you, Martha! That's great work! It is good too to see the results when you look in the mirror and in the clothes you wear! I'm sort of working on health and fitness, but I need to step it up a bit. I got a goal in mind, just need to keep plugging along with it!
Hope all is well! Enjoy the weekend!

Congratulations!
I have to confess, I've been focusing on other goals than fitness right now, but I'm promising myself to change that once we get back to comfortable biking weather.
Well... I am getting out there more. CatMan and I went for a 20 mile bike ride this week, and I spent several days outside tiring myself out in the garden.
But to be honest, I don't really think it's healthy for me to focus too much on my weight or clothing size, or on tracking my exercise etc. I spent a big portion of my young adulthood battling both eating and compulsive exercise disorders. So it's sort of a balancing act for me. I want to be healthy, I want to be in shape, but when I start to try to quantify those sorts of things with numbers, I'm sort of flirting with the "danger zone" if you know what I mean.
Don't get me wrong, I've been "disorder free" for over 20 years now, and I don't really see myself slipping back into that craziness... but still, I think it's sort of like being an alcoholic... I get a little too energized by watching the scale and counting hours on the treadmill if you know what I mean.
Anyhow, at this point in my life I really try to just focus on how my body feels, and on living a healthy lifestyle, rather than some sort of fitness program. It seems to work better for me in the long run.
Betty - Glad you are doing some things for your health and fitness. I know how busy you've been, have to take care of yourself along the way too :)
Min hus - Thank you! I'm feeling great. I hope you get some nice weather soon. It's the opposite here in Florida, nice weather now, too hot soon to be outside for much exercise without suffering heatstroke! I'm taking advantage of the nice weather while I can!
EcoCat - Glad you are getting in some fresh air and exercise. I honestly don't think it's healthy for anyone to focus too much on the scale or tracking calories, exercise, etc. It can definitely create problems - but especially for those who have struggled with ED of any kind.
I think concentrating on healthy living in general is the best way to go for everyone! I just kind of fell off the healthy living wagon over the last two years while caring for my mother, dealing with her passing and all the life changes since then. The things I've been doing are simply tools to get myself back to feeling comfortable in my own skin and back to living a nice healthy lifestyle overall again.
Martha,
Great accomplishment. I’m sure you love what you are seeing in the mirror and what a bonus to more energy and better sleep.
I love the sign. I think I may have to use it soon.
Thanks for the great reminder. You are right, there is nothing more important than our health.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Love the upbeat sound you have these days! I'm at 6 pounds, can see a difference and am sleeping heavenly!!!!
