Beyond the Scale

Yesterday was weigh-in day. I was a little disappointed with only another half a pound loss for this week. I'm not the discouraged though because there is a lot more to consider besides the scale!

Last month I started walking again and just being conscious of what I was eating. On February 5th I joined MFP and started working a little harder. On Feb 12th I took my waist measurement and did my BMI, waist to height and body fat. Seeing those numbers was enough motivation to kick up the workouts. I checked my numbers again for the first time yesterday...

February 12

BMI - 21.7
Waist to height - 49.2 (yikes!)
Waist - 32 inches
Weight - 130
Body Fat - 34.9 (yikes again!)

March 2

BMI -  20.8
Waist to height - 47.7
Waist - 31
Weight - 125
Body Fat - 33.3

I have a lot of hard work ahead. I want to get my body fat number back into the twenties or even teens! I definitely need to concentrate more on that then the numbers on the scale.

I'm celebrating the changes, starting to fit into some of the pants I couldn't wear a couple weeks ago, and no more lumps, bumps and bulges around my bra in the back - that alone gives me so much motivation!

Time to kick things up another notch this week. My March Mission is muscle! Want to join me?

Weight off or not, you're making great progress! I was disappointed too in the weigh in, but my clothes are so much looser that I know it's working!!

Keep up the awesome work!!
